Mentre in Cina Oppo ha già iniziato a dichiarato il suo programma di rilascio e ha perfino iniziato a testare la nuova ColorOS 12 (basata su Android 12) su alcuni dispositivi, in Occidente siamo ancora in attesa dell'evento celebrativo del rilascio. Il prossimo 11 ottobre alle ore 11:00 l'azienda svelerà le novità della versione Global del prossimo aggiornamento e i nomi dei modelli che lo riceveranno in diretta sul suo canale ufficiale su YouTube.

Sul palco virtuale verrà mostrata una beta dimostrativa che permetterà di scoprire le principali funzionalità della piattaforma e le novità a livello di design - che si anticipa come particolarmente personalizzabile. L'obiettivo dichiarato è arrivare a coprire più di 110 diversi dispositivi per un totale di 150 milioni di utenti in tutto il mondo, rendendo quindi ColorOS 12 l'aggiornamento più rapido e ampio nella storia di Oppo.

A margine è stata anche comunicata un'importante novità per la politica di aggiornamento: tutti i modelli della serie Oppo Find X usciti dal 2019 in poi riceveranno tre upgrade di sistema garantiti (tranne che i Find X Lite e Neo che ne riceveranno due) e quattro di patch di sicurezza con rilasci regolari.

Le famiglie Reno/F/K invece riceveranno due versioni di Android e quattro anni di rilasci di sicurezza, mentre alcuni modelli della serie Oppo A potranno contare solo su un upgrade e tre anni di patch. Di seguito abbiamo riportato un riepilogo (in inglese) di tutte le novità attese su ColorOS 12.

Tests conducted by Oppo have obtained satisfactory results: a simulation of continuous use for 36 months has in fact led to the aging of the smartphone by only 2.75% and a decrease in reading and writing performance of 5%. The same AI can manage the apps so as to guarantee a personalized use of the smartphone based on the habits and preferences of the users.
