OnePlus Nord N100 riceve il suo primo e ultimo major update: ecco Android 11! (download firmware)

OnePlus aveva promesso uno (ed un solo) major update per Nord N100, ed eccolo arrivato: Android 11 è pronto al download via OTA, e non solo. Vediamo quindi subito il changelog ufficiale:

• System
  • Updated to OxygenOS 11 version
  • Fresh new UI visual design brings you a more comfortable experience with various optimizations of details
  • Since this is a big Android update with multiple new features, the upgrade process might be a little longer, please be more patient.
  • Updated Android security patch to 2021.06
  • Upgrade Google GMS to 2021.04
• Ambient Display
  • Newly added Insight clock style, a joint creation with Parsons School of Design. It will change according to the phone usage data (To set: Settings > Customization > Clock on ambient display)
  • Newly added Canvas feature that can automatically draw a wireframe picture based on a lock screen photo on your phone（Path: Settings – Customization – Wallpaper – Canvas – Choose photo preview, and it can be generated automatically）
• Game space
  • Newly added gaming tools box for convenient switches of Fnatic mode. You can now choose three ways of notifications: text only heads up and block just for your immersive gaming experience
  • Newly added quick reply feature in a small window for WhatsApp and INS (Enable it by swiping down from upper right/left corners of the screen in gaming mode)
  • Newly added mis-touch prevention feature. Enable it, swipe down from the top of the screen, click and the notification bar will pop out
• Dark Mode
  • Added a shortcut for Dark Mode, you can pull down the Quick Settings panel and find it
  • Supported automatically enable by time range (path: Settings – Display – Dark Mode – Turn on automatically – Automatically enable from sunset to sunrise / Custom time range)

L'aggiornamento porta con sé le patch di giugno 2021, varie novità di Android 11 e qualche aggiunta alla OxygenOS, in base a come riportato sopra.

La OxygenOS 11 per OnePlus Nord N100 è già in rollout in Europa, ma come sempre il rilascio non sarà uniforme e potreste dover aspettare qualche giorno. Se voleste invece aggiornare subito, vi basterà scaricare questo file e poi andare in Impostazioni > Sistema > Aggiornamenti per installare manualmente Android 11.

Chiariamo che se anche per quanto riguarda le nuove versioni del sistema operativo dovrebbe essere finita qui, OnePlus Nord N100 continuerà a ricevere ancora le patch di sicurezza fino a circa 3 anni dal lancio.
