Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G ufficiale: più prestazioni ed efficienza energetica, per supportare foto, gaming e non solo

Qualcomm annuncia Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G, il suo nuovo processore di punta, che come ormai tradizione va a migliorare ulteriormente l'omonimo modello dell'anno in corso.

Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G è realizzato con processo produttivo a 7nm, e basato sui 8 core Kryo 585 a 3,1 GHz massimi, con GPU Adreno 650 (+10% rispetto allo Snapdragon 865, sia su fronte CPU che GPU).

Il cuore dell'intelligenza artificiale è il processore Hexagon 698, capace di traduzione in tempo reale, always-on contextual awareness anche durante il gaming, soppressione del rumore e dell'eco.

Integrato abbiamo anche il modem X55 5G mmWave (800 MHz) e sub-6 GHz, un modem davvero "globale", con supporto a modalità standalone e non-standalone, global roaming e global multi-SIM.

Sono supportati display fino in 4K@60Hz o QHD+@144Hz, con HDR10 e 10+. Il massimo quantitativo di RAM supportato è di 16 GB, LPDDR4x o LPDDR5.

Lato fotografico abbiamo la possibilità di registrare video in vari formai: fino in 8K@30fps, slow motion a 960fps in 720p, 4K HDR con modalità ritratto, 4K@120fps, e 4K@30fps in HDR10+, HDR10, HLG, e Dolby Vision.

La risoluzione massima delle foto è di 200 megapixel.

La connettività wireless è di tipo Wi-Fi 6, con velocità fino a 3,6 Gbps, la più veloce di qualsiasi dispositivo mobile, e Bluetooth 5.2.

Tra i primi smartphone a sfruttare il nuovo "campione" di Qualcomm troviamo ASUS ROG Phone 3 ed un non ben precisato Lenovo Legion, del quale abbiamo sentito parlare negli ultimi mesi.
