OnePlus 7 Pro 5G non è poi così 'super veloce', almeno nell'aggiornarsi: Android 10 arriverà solo nel 2020
Il CEO Pete Lau ha provato a giustificarsi in una nota comparsa sul forum ufficiale di OnePlus.Il 5G promette di portare innovazioni in tutti i campi, grazie al netto passo in avanti rispetto al 4G in ogni ambito. Al momento però, è soprattutto sinonimo di velocità di connessione, ma lo smartphone 5G di OnePlus non sembra essere capace di tener il passo di cotanta fama, quantomeno per quanto riguarda la velocità nell'aggiornarsi all'ultima versione di Android.
Il produttore cinese ha infatti annunciato ufficialmente che OnePlus 7 Pro 5G si aggiornerà ad Android 10 soltanto nel corso del primo trimestre del 2020, in netto ritardo rispetto al resto della serie OnePlus 7/7T e persino della serie OnePlus 6/6T. A tutto però c'è una spiegazione, più o meno.
A fornirla è Pete Lau, che ha voluto placare le critiche piovute dopo l'annuncio delle tempistiche di aggiornamento tramite una nota comparsa sul forum ufficiale di OnePlus. Il CEO dell'azienda ha infatti ricordato che OnePlus 7 Pro 5G offre una tecnologia tutta nuova, che dunque necessita di più tempo per essere conosciuta e perfezionata, anche per quanto riguarda gli aggiornamenti software.
Prima di poter rilasciare l'aggiornamento ad Android 10 per OnePlus 7 Pro 5G occorrerà dunque un impegno extra, per ottimizzare le nuove componenti e sincerarsi che tutto funzioni alla perfezione, per mantenere alto lo standard qualitativo a cui OnePlus non intende rinunciare, a costo di impiegare più tempo e attirarsi qualche critica.

Based on the current R&D progress and compatibility with various partners, we’re expecting to launch the Android 10 system update for OnePlus 7 Pro 5G in the first quarter of 2020.
