Honor View 20 ha già venduto 1,5 milioni di unità e festeggia con Gaming+. Honor View 10 Lite si tinge di Phantom Blue
Niente nuovi smartphone per Honor al Mobile World Congress, visto anche che il suo ultimo top di gamma è stato lanciato un mese fa, ed è proprio su quello che l'azienda si concentra.
Anzitutto Honor View 20 ha già raggiunto il ragguardevole traguardo di un milione e mezzo di unità vendute (non "spedite"), avvicinando una volta di più Honor alla top 5 dei produttori mondiali di smartphone (è già quarto in Italia)
Continua inoltre l'impegno dell'azienda nel settore videoludico con Gaming+, una serie di "aggiornamenti tecnologici" che aumentano significativamente le performance, la qualità grafica e la definizione dell'immagine nei videogiochi su Honor View 20. Sembra trattarsi di una specie di evoluzione di GPU Turbo, che comunque non viene mai menzionato, anche se sul sito ufficiale si parla espressamente di GPU Turbo 2.0 (può darsi che ci sia stato un cambio di nome).
Si tratta in pratica di algoritmi software che vanno ad incidere sull'efficienza della GPU e sull'ottimizzazione del carico sulla stessa.
Inoltre, grazie a tecniche di predizione del carico tramite intelligenza artificiale, l'efficienza energetica del SOC viene migliorata del 20,34% (test eseguiti a 60 fps in grafica Vulkan).
Grazie a Gaming+, la versione Vulkan di Fortnite arriverà a breve su Honor View 20, ed altri popolari giochi, come QQ Speed ed Arena of Valor, sono già stati ottimizzati. C'è anche una piccola novità per Honor View 10 Lite (ovvero Honor 8X), che si arricchisce ora, anche in Italia, della colorazione phantom blue. A partire dal suo lancio lo scorso settembre, oltre 10 milioni di View 10 Lite/8X sono stati spediti in tutto il mondo, e da inizio marzo 2019 la nuova colorazione sarà disponibile anche presso la grande distribuzione italiana (Mediaworld, Unieuro ecc.), come illustrato qui sotto in galleria.

The HONOR View20 was unveiled in Paris last month with five world’s first features, including: 48MP smartphone camera, 25MP in-screen front camera, 7nm Kirin 980 AI chipset, AI Triple-Antenna Wi-Fi technology, and aurora nanotexture design. Gaming+ improves the gaming experience by upgrading the overall system with GPU efficiency upgrade, GPU load optimization, high definition and AI loading prediction technology. With these advances on Kirin 980 chipset, the HONOR View20 strives for the highest level of mobile gaming performance.
The brand new Gaming+ improves SOC energy efficiency by 20.34%[1]. The Mali-G76 GPU chipset upgrade on Kirin 980 includes transform optimization, which enhances job scheduling and parallel computing. This reduces duplicate instructions and GPU overdraws, as well as increases the data transfer speed between CPU, GPU and memory. In addition, the Kirin 980 GPU works seamlessly with the innovative AI frequency modulation scheduling technology to predict task loads by monitoring frame rate per second (fps), image quality and touchscreen inputs in real time, and intelligently identifies performance bottlenecks. For gaming, the new AI technology improves the load prediction accuracy of each frame by more than 30% compared to traditional methods. Another key feature, GPU optimization, enhances image quality and reduces power consumption. The upgrade also brings high definition capability to gaming, achieving better contrast, higher brightness levels and a wider color palette.
As a result of the Gaming+ upgrade, Fortnite Vulkan version can also be supported on the HONOR View20, bringing gamers a faster and smoother experience[2].
