WhatsApp: nell’ultima beta spuntano nuovi indizi su pubblicità e contenuti sponsorizzati (download apk)

La nuova versione 2.18.57 beta di WhatsApp per Android nasconde al suo interno alcuni importanti indizi sul futuro del servizio, soprattutto per quanto rigurda i legami con la piattaforma dati di Facebook. Sbirciando nel file apk dell’app, è stata trovata quella che dovrebbe essere la nuova pagina dei termini di servizio di WhatsApp, nei quali sono presenti piccoli ma sostanziali cambiamenti.

In particolare, ci sono nuovi riferimenti per quanto riguarda contenuti sponsorizzati e avvisi pubblicitari provenienti dalle aziende, che potrebbero forse essere relativi alle funzionalità di WhatsApp Business. Ciò non significa necessariamente che sull’app possano arrivare i banner promozionali, ma è presumibile che ci possa essere un’integrazione di questo tipo di contenuti, magari sfruttando le chat con le aziende già presenti sul servizio.

Altre sezioni dei termini di servizio citano i dati dell’utente WhatsApp che possono essere condivisi con la piattaforma di servizi di proprietà di Facebook (argomento di vecchia data e già più volte oggetto di polemiche), tra i quali non solo sono presenti il numero di telefono, il nome utente, e gli altri dati più scontati, ma anche quelli relativi alle interazioni con le aziende e con i già citati contenuti sponsorizzati.

Come già scritto all’inizio, per adesso tali informazioni sono state trovate solo nei termini di servizio nascosti all’interno dell’ultima beta, dunque niente di tutto questo è ancora ufficiale e potrebbe subire ulteriori variazioni in futuro. Sta di fatto che Facebook e WhatsApp stanno lavorando di nuovo in sincronia per allargare la piattaforma di messaggistica ai clienti business, in modo da favorire la sponsorizzazione e i contenuti a pagamento, o almeno questo sembra trasparire dai nuovi termini di servizio.
