MIUI 7: anteprima e confronto con la MIUI 6 (video)
Rilasciata pochi giorni fa per un buon numero di smartphone Xiaomi, abbiamo subito voluto provare la prima beta della MIUI 7, in attesa della versione definitiva, per toccare con mano alcune delle novità introdotte.
Al netto delle differenze "sotto al cofano" (30% di velocità in più, 25% di risparmio energetico - due novità senz'altro di spessore ma che sono difficili da valutare in poco tempo ed in una beta non definitiva) per le quali attenderemo il rilascio finale, ci siamo concentrati sull'interfaccia.
Le novità estetiche in realtà non sono moltissime: c'è una gradita riorganizzazione delle impostazioni, in precedenza poco raggruppate e quindi facilmente confusionarie, e l'aggiunta del child mode, che vi permette di selezionare quali app mostrare, in modo da poter dare con sicurezza lo smartphone in mano ad un figlio o ad un amico (per uscire da questa modalità sarà necessario inserire lo stesso codice di sblocco del telefono).

Le opzioni per il ridimensionamento del testo sono state ridisegnate ed arricchite dalla taglia XXL (indicata però con Large), e ridisegnata è anche la schermata dei quick setting, ora più leggibili ed intuitivi, con lo slider per la luminosità che ve ne farà osservare l'effetto sulla schermata di sfondo scorrendolo.
Ci sono miglioramenti anche per le app, come il log delle chiamate, ora più chiaro e filtrabile, o la galleria che ha un migliore riconoscimento dei volti e crea album automatici in base a questi, ma solo utilizzando il Mi Account.
Il changelog è in realtà piuttosto lungo, ma le novità maggiormente visibili sono quelle appena riportate, ed altre sono esclusive per l'India. Sotto alla nostra video prova / confronto con la MIUI 6 vi lasciamo comunque il changelog completo di questa versione da consultare.
