Google+ Foto è pronto a tradire il social network con Drive?
Ormai lo abbiamo sentito più volte, anche tramite la voce di membri di rilievo dello staff di BigG: Google+ Foto sarà separato dal social network di casa e verrà guardato come un prodotto indipendente. Anzi, il servizio per la gestione delle proprio fotografie potrebbe essere integrato a Drive, una scelta ben più logica per un simile prodotto.

Le stringhe che trovate qui sotto sono contenute nell'ultimo aggiornamento di Drive e mostrano che questa è la direzione che Google intende intraprendere. Google Photos viene nominato più volte senza il +, che andrà perso:

Google Foto rimarrà una parte separata di Drive, avendo una sua app e funzionalità particolari. Probabilmente a breve l'applicazione verrà separata dal social network e diventerà un po' come Documenti, Fogli e Presentazioni.
Infine, c'è spazio anche per un'ultima funzionalità all'interno del codice: il supporto a Chromecast da parte di Drive sia per i video che per l'audio:, testimoniato dalla libreria CastCompanionLibrary
