Tronsmart lancia Orion R28, un TV Box Android in 4K
Tronsmart, che forse ricorderete per la nostra prova del suo ottimo dongle EZcast, ha lanciato un nuovo dispositivo dedicato all'intrattenimento domestico, che questa volta non ha le dimensioni di una pennina ma di un più regolare box TV, chiamato Orion R28.

Si tratta di un dispositivo spinto da un SoC Rockchip RK3288 Cortex-A17 quad-core con GPU Mali-T764, 2 GB di RAM, 8 / 16 / 32 GB di memoria interna. A seconda del modello, cambia anche il tipo di radio a bordo, che va dal Wi-Fi b/g/n al Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac.
È inoltre presente anche un'app per Android tramite la quale interagire col box, che è basato su Android 4.4. KitKat.

Tronsmart Launches the Orion R28 Media Player
Tronsmart launched their latest new box powered by Google Android 4.4 Kitkat and a RK3288 quad core processor. It is named as the Tronsmart Orion R28.
Like the previous Vega S89 series, Orion R28 will come with three versions: Pro, Meta and Telos). The Orion R28 features a Rockchip RK3288 Cortex-A17 with quad core Mali-T764 GPU, 2/2/4 GB RAM, and 8/16/32 GB Storage.
To make the firmware update easier, the manufacture brings OTA feature to the new device, which means you needn’t the updating instaurations and tools anymore. Another great feature is the Smartphone control. Want to control your Dumb TV with your Android phone? Now it comes true. You can download the RK Remote Control app from Google Play Store.
Beside the difference of RAM and storage, the three versions support different band of WiFi: Pro comes with WIFI module Broadcom AP6210 (support IEEE 802.11 b/g/n), Meta choose WIFI module Broadcom AP335 (support IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac) while Telos use WIFI module Broadcom AP6210 (support both IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac).
