Il team Paranoid plaude alla scelta di CyanogenMod nei confronti del GS4

Abbiamo da poco visto che CyanogenMod non sembra molto intenzionata a supportare il Galaxy S4, ma cosa ne pensa delle sue scelte e delle sue motivazioni un altro celebre firmware custom, Paranoid Android? Non potrebbe essere più d'accordo!

Best thing i've read in a while. I never understood why the rom-scene must play into the hands of the very companies that antagonize it.
At least not when there is a healthy Nexus project around that may be the last chance for an open and free mobile platform before it gets eaten up like any other market by shock and awe marketing and an infinite succession of meaningless spec bumps. All the while keeping the OS locked down of course so it cannot be brought up to date to get the most out of the hardware, using missing updates as a leverage for consumers to jump to the 'next big thing.'

È questo il testo di un comunicato diffuso su Google+, che inizia subito al rialzo affermando che il panorama delle ROM non può essere nelle mani di quelle stesse compagnie che gli sono ostili. La "soluzione" è nella linea Nexus, l'ultima speranza, secondo Paranoid, prima che una piattaforma aperta quale Android venga risucchiata dal marketing e da una continua rincorsa al "pompaggio" delle specifiche tecniche.

Tutto ciò mentre l'OS viene tenuto "bloccato" in modo che non possa essere aggiornato per sfruttare al meglio l'hardware, utilizzando gli update mancati come leva per spingere i consumatori a salire sul treno del "next big thing".
