PrimeSense porterà la praticità di Kinect anche su smartphone

Il nome Primesense probabilmente non significherà nulla per la maggior parte di voi, ma "l'indizio" che abbiamo posto nell'immagine qui sopra è più che sufficiente a far capire con chi abbiamo a che fare. Si tratta infatti dell'azienda dietro all'avveniristico sistema di controllo Kinect della Xbox, che ha appena presentato un nuovo, più piccolo (circa 10 volte meno degli attuali) ed economico sensore 3D, in grado di adattarsi ad un'intera nuova serie di dispositivi; e ovviamente parliamo anche di smartphone (e tablet).

Battezzato Capri, e atteso per un debutto ufficiale al CES di gennaio, i primi campioni dovrebbero essere disponibili entro metà 2013. Preparatevi dunque ad un tipo di interazione tutta nuova, nella quale non sarà più necessario toccare il display per interagire con esso, con buona pace dei brevetti di Samsung. Samples for development and integration for leading OEMs will be available by mid-2013.
