Temple Run per Android ha finalmente una data di lancio ufficiale

Se c'è una cosa che gli appassionati di mobile gaming su Android odiano sicuramente è il ritardo con cui arrivano sui nostri dispositivi i titoli di maggior successo per piattaforma iOS (sempre che arrivino, si intende). Le motivazioni sono svariate ma non fanno altro che rendere la pillola ancora più amara. Ed un titolo come Temple Run non fa eccezione: a discapito della semplicità dello stile di gioco e del motore grafico non certo all'avanguardia, TR è uno dei giochi di maggior successo degli ultimi tempi arrivati su iOS.

E il ritardo nell'arrivo per piattaforma Android ha favorito una sequela di "imbroglioni" che si è data da fare per riempire il Market Android Google Play di applicazioni fuorvianti con lo stesso titolo ma con contenuti diversi.

L'attesa sembra finalmente volgere a fine: gli sviluppatori di Temple Run (Imangi Studios) hanno annunciato l'arrivo sui dispositivi Android per il 27 Marzo. Di seguito trovate il comunicato stampa emesso proprio dagli sviluppatori:

WASHINGTON, D.C. - March 6, 2012 - Imangi Studios today announced thatTemple Run, the Top Grossing App and Top Free App in the App Store in January 2012, will be released for Android devices on March 27. Free to download, Temple Runchallenges players to test their reflexes as they race down ancient temple walls and along sheer cliffs. With endless gameplay, players collect coins as they jump, slide and run to escape the evil monkeys guarding the temple while avoiding obstacles.

“We are excited to finally share the Android release date with our fans who have been so enthusiastic and supportive of Temple Run,” said Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi Studios. “By expanding to more mobile devices, we hope to provide the same addictive and fast-paced gameplay to an entirely new group of players.”

The iOS version of Temple Run for iPhone and iPad boasts over 40 million downloads in the App Store since its debut in August 2011.
