CyanogenMod è una ROM, disponibile per oltre 70 modelli di cellulari e tablet basato sul sistema operativo opensource Android. Offre funzionalità ed opzioni non disponibili sui firmware ufficiali, basati su Android, dei produttori di questi dispositivi, incluso un supporto nativo per i temi (conosciuto anche come "T-Mobile Theme Engine"), un codec per il Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC), cache compressa (compcache), una estesa lista di APN, un client OpenVPN, un menu di reboot, supporto per Wi-Fi, Bluetooth e tethering USB, miglioramenti allo schedulatore del kernel e profili di overclock, pulsanti software (soft-buttons) ed altre migliorie per i tablet, tasti di attivazione nella schermata delle notifiche (come Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS e molti altri), ed altre migliorie di interfaccia. CyanogenMod sostiene di aumentare le performance e l'affidabilità paragonato ai firmware ufficiali.



CyanogenMod 9 per LG P500, al momento, non ha un supporto ufficiale (al contrario della CM 7.2). La ROM, dunque, è basata al 99% sulla CM9 ufficiale.

QUESTA ROM E' QUASI STABILE, MA SENZA SUPPORTO UFFICIALE (SIA LG CHE CYANOGENMOD).

Prerequisiti

• Nuovo baseband (20C o 20G): [GUIDA] Aggiornare/sbrandizzare alla V20g con LGMDP
• Permessi di root Permessi di root > root su android 2.2.1,2.2.2, root su android 2.3.3 guida 1 oppure root android su 2.3.3 guida
• zip della rom su SD
• zip Google Apps su SD

Prima Installazione
da ClockWorkMod Recovery, avviare premendo VolDown key + Home + Power:

1. backup nandroid ( "backup and restore" > "backup" )
2. wipe data/factory reset
3. wipe cache partition
4. format /system ( "mounts and storage" > "mount /system" > "format /system" > "unmount /system")
5. flash zip ROM
6. flash zip Google Apps (gapps)
7. Reboot
8. Enjoy!

Solo per le ROM GENETICS e ICSPLUS (FINAL RELEASE):

IMPORTANT NOTES
- Do full wipe
- Don't flash gapss
- Don't restore your apps via titanium backups (Install all from market)
- This rom fills ~160MB on system, so you will have 30MB free space.



Aggiornamento ROM
da CWM (avviare premendo VolDown key + Home + Power):

1. backup nandroid ( "backup and restore" > "backup" )
2. wipe cache partition
3. wipe dalvik cache
4. flash zip ROM
5. Reboot

Buglist
Molti BUG sono da imputare direttamente alla mancanza di alcuni driver proprietari (OpenMAX libraries for amrv6), così come la mancanza di alcune caratteristiche presenti in ICS, ma non ancora nella CynaogenMOD 9.

• Radio FM assente. Alternativa: Spirit FM Light oppure Spirit FM Unlocked -> fixato nella CM 9.2.2
• Video H/W decoding (Usate MXPlayer) e riproduzione YouTube HD "scattosa" (needs OpenMaX(omx) libraries for armv6 and kernel update). Release OpenMax codecs for armv6 OMX IL libs for Qualcomm's QDSP5 on MSM7227 -> Fixato nella build LASTKISS!

temo sempre di "inquinare" i 3ad ... anche perchè ODIO quelli che scrivono a vanvera e portano la discussione ad avere centinaia di pagine da scorrere per trovare le info veramente utili ...
detto questo ho una sola domanda (e spero possa essere utile anche ad altri):

potreste indicarmi la differenza tra la Beta4 e la KANG della rom di lupo???

Sostanzialmente sono uguali, la differenza è che la kang è puramente basata sul codice cyanogen, mentre le precedenti beta sono semplicemente "adattate" con varie patch..
Cmq nel primo post lo spiega!

Il topic è incompleto, lo sto aggiornando man mano. Nel primo post trovi la definizione di KANG. La differenza con la beta4 è che la kang è basata completamente sul codice CM9, mentre la beta4 (sviluppo interrotto) era una mix tra codice CM9 e hacks vari non riconosciuti dal team CM, il tutto con lo scopo di avere una CM9 P500 riconosciuta ufficialmente.
