Modern Combat 5 diventerà gratuito anche su Android (video)
Ciò che fece indubbiamente più scalpore quando vennero rilasciate le prime notizie ufficiali a riguardo di Modern Combat 5: Blackout di Gameloft era il fatto che la software house francese lo avrebbe lanciato come gioco a pagamento senza acquisti in-app. Uno degli ultimi aggiornamenti ha però introdotto proprio quest'ultima caratteristica e il futuro aggiornamento, già disponibile su iOS e in dirittura d'arrivo su Android, trasformerà definitivamente Modern Combat 5 in un gioco free-to-play.

Sono le dichiarazioni di un product manager di Gameloft a far intendere che presto Modern Combat 5 sarà gratuito anche su Android. In queste ore infatti la software house lo ha reso disponibile gratuitamente su iOS, ma si pensava ad una promozione limitata nel tempo e non ad un così drastico cambio di rotta.

All of our current players are getting Veteran status, with unlimited energy, and some other goodies as a thank you for their support. Ultimately, the switch to free-to-play means the game will have a longer lifetime, so we can invest more in the long-term update plan and in the servers which need to support a significantly larger player base. One thing we’re not messing with is the competitive balance players have come to expect in Modern Combat.
Vi terremo ovviamente aggiornati sulla vicenda, segnalandovi quando Modern Combat 5 sarà reso disponibile gratuitamente sul Play Store.
Che ne pensate di questa svolta? Gameloft (e tante altre software house) guadagnano davvero molto di più dagli acquisti in-app che dalle vendite "standard"?
