Motorola lancia un tatuaggio digitale per sbloccare Moto X (video)

Motorola, in collaborazione con VivaLnk, l'ha fatto davvero: ha reso realtà commerciale uno di quei progetti che credevamo sarebbe rimasto solo un esercizio di stile. Parliamo di un tatuaggio NFC per sbloccare Moto X.

Avete letto bene, anche se "tatuaggio" è un termine forse un po' fuorviante: si tratta infatti di una sorta di adesivo da applicare presumibilmente sul polso o comunque in una zona facilmente raggiungibile, realizzato da VivaLnk, che permette di sbloccare Moto X (e per adesso solo lui) con un semplice tocco.

Secondo l'azienda, ogni tatuaggio dura fino a 5 giorni, comprese docce, nuotate, esercizio fisico e qualsiasi altra cosa vi venga in mente. Un pack da 10 tatuaggi costa 9,99$ e può già essere acquistato sul sito di VivaLnk.

A questo punto restiamo in attesa della vitamina che ci permetterà di aprire la porta di casa senza nemmeno toccarla, ma nell'attesa vi lasciamo al video del tatuaggio più originale del mondo.

VivaLnk (pronounced: Veeva-Link) has developed eSkin™ technology where electronics, in an ultra-thin and flexible material, communicate with a user’s smartphone wirelessly.

Digital Tattoo is a disposable product and can be worn for approximately 5 days at a time and then replaced with another Digital Tattoo. VivaLnk’s Program Manager, Brandon Barbello, said the Company has begun selling Digital Tattoo ten-packs through its website,www.vivalnk.com, for $9.99.

After setting up Moto X, you will separately activate a Digital Tattoo. Simply tap the back of Moto X to your Digital Tattoo and follow the onscreen instructions. For the first activation, you will be prompted to re-enter your existing PIN and to set a master PIN. For the remaining activations of the same tattoo you pair the tattoo and tap to activate.

Digital Tattoo is a simple application of eSkin™ technology, but it is the first commercialized product of its kind. VivaLnk anticipates other products utilizing eSkin™ technology in health care, security, entertainment, and numerous other fields.
