Motorola cerca beta tester con lo Xoom per un nuovo progetto: sarà Ice Cream Sandwich?

Lo Xoom sta ad Honeycomb come il Nexus S a Gingerbread (o il Galaxy Nexus ad Ice Cream Sandwich): insomma il tablet di Motorola è stato il dispositivo portabandiera della Google Experience per quanto riguarda Android 3.x. E fin qui niente di nuovo. La novità semmai sta nel fatto che la casa alata è alla ricerca di partecipanti ad un progetto muniti della versione WiFi only dello Xoom.

Il motivo che rende così allettante questa proposta è il fatto che non ne sia mai stata fatta prima una con un riferimento così esplicito alla “Google Experience”, il che porta a pensare che si tratti di una qualche forma di update: inutile dire quindi che il pensiero vola subito ad Ice Cream Sandwich, specialmente perché il passaggio di versione in un dispositivo stock dovrebbe essere quello più "indolore" di tutti. Ciò non toglie che potrebbe trattarsi anche di un corposo bugfix o di qualcosa di completamente scorrelato.
